New Wine, orangish Chardonnay. It's 50% direct press chardonnay blended with 50% skin contact chardonnay, all from Royer Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. We love the texture of this wine, with just a touch of phenolics combined with the richness from the long lees aging.

Winemaking: Half of the grapes were whole cluster pressed, then fermented and aged in neutral french barriques for 16 months. Half of the grapes were whole berry fermented under a submerged cap for 24 days, pressed and then aged in neutral french barriques for 16 months. The two wines were blended just prior to bottling.

Statera Cellars is owned and operated by two friends, Meredith Bell and Luke Wylde. Since 2014, it has been our mission to make delicious, honest Chardonnay from the most distinct vineyards in our region. We are one of the only wineries in the Willamette Valley to exclusively make Chardonnay—we love the grape and want to showcase its potential and diversity in the Pacific Northwest. Our wines are made using natural and traditional winemaking practices, resulting in wines that are compelling and markedly alive.

We work with farmers who are true stewards of the land, who see the vineyard as part of an ecosystem, and do their best to grow grapes in a way that respects and celebrates diversity. We genuinely believe that these farmers get most of the credit for the quality of our wine.
