🍷 Château Mont d’Almaz Red Blend 2019

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah
Lebanon

Château Mont d’Almaz vineyards are planted on the high terraces of Mount Lebanon in Beit Menzer at an altitude of 1260 meters, overlooking the Qadisha Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This is a refined blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot, displaying a deep ruby-red color. Aromas of black ripe fruit and warm spices give the wine depth and complexity.

On the palate, it is concentrated, elegant, and persistent, with ripe tannins and a fresh, balanced finish.

Harvest

Grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted at the end of September to ensure optimal ripeness and quality.

Vinification

Primary fermentation is carried out with indigenous natural yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Maceration lasts 15–20 days.

Post-Fermentation

After fermentation, the wine is manually pressed and transferred to 100 hl stainless steel tanks to stabilize during winter and complete malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

In early spring, the wine is racked into French oak barrels, where it matures slowly for 12–24 months, gaining structure and complexity.

Bottling

The wine is bottled the following spring after completing barrel aging and final stabilization.

Viticulture

Mont d’Almaz wines are made following organic and natural principles, with only minimal additions of SO₂.
