Farid Classic Arak (750 ml)

About: Arak Farid is a traditional, craft Arak produced by husband and wife duo Fred Abi Khalil and Jess Kandalaft in Ain Jouaya, Lebanon. The brand was officially launched in 2020. 750ml, 54% abv

Base Alcohol: The base wine is produced from organic Lebanese Merwah grown in Ferzol, a small village in the Bekaa Valley. Harvest usually begins in late September and lasts until mid October. The base wine in fermented for 20 days until it reaches an abv of around 14-15%.

Distillation: Tripled distilled in the early fall following the grape harvest using a copper alembic pot still. On the third distillation pure aniseed from Heneeh, Syria is added to the still.

Maturation: The Arak is aged for one year in glass jars before mixing with water to 54% alcohol for bottling.
